Mizzou Football Adds Opponents To Future Schedules

Games with Army, San Diego State, Louisiana, Colorado and BYU added to future schedules

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Four games and three rescheduled games have been added to future Mizzou Football schedules, as a pair of home games with Army West Point and an additional home-and-home series with San Diego State have been announced, while games against Louisiana (home), Colorado (away) and BYU (away) have been moved from originally released dates.

Mizzou will welcome Army West Point to Columbia twice, first on Oct. 13, 2029 and next on Oct. 15, 2033. The Tigers own a 3-1 series lead over the Black Knights, last winning 23-10 on Sept. 11, 1982 in Columbia. The Tigers are 3-0 all-time against Army at Memorial Stadium.

Mizzou and San Diego State, which already have a home-and-home scheduled for 2027 and 2028, will add another home-and-home series in 2033 and 2034. Mizzou will travel to San Diego for a game on Sept. 10, 2033, before a home game against the Aztecs in Columbia on Sept. 9, 2034. Mizzou holds a 3-0 all-time series lead against San Diego State, with the last matchup ending in a last-minute 27-24 win by the Tigers in Columbia in 2010. Previously, the teams played a home-and-home series in Columbia in 1979 and in San Diego in 1980, with Mizzou winning both (45-15 and 31-7, respectively). Mizzou Director of Athletics Jim Sterk served in the same capacity at San Diego State for six seasons, from 2010-11 through 2015-16, before coming to MU in August of 2016.

Two rescheduled games from the 2020 season have been moved to future schedules, as Mizzou will host Louisiana on Oct. 4, 2025 and travel to BYU on Sept. 8, 2035. Both games were originally on the 2020 schedule before pandemic-related scheduling arrangements led to an All-SEC schedule for the Tigers and their fellow league members. It will be the first-ever matchup between the Tigers and Ragin’ Cajuns, while Mizzou and BYU’s all-time series is tied, 1-1, with the Tigers last winning, 20-16, on Nov. 14, 2015, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

In addition, Mizzou’s road trip to Boulder, Colo., originally scheduled for the 2025 season, will now take place on August 30, 2031. It will be the second of a home-and-home series with Mizzou’s old Big Eight/12 foe, as the Tigers host the Buffaloes in Columbia on Sept. 7, 2030. Mizzou leads the all-time series between the two schools, 42-31-3, with the last meeting coming on Oct. 9, 2010, a 26-0 victory for the Tigers in Columbia.
