KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Police in Kansas City are investigating two unrelated deaths on Labor Day as homicides. The first was reported late Monday afternoon, when officers were called to a home on a medical call. Police say the man was stabbed to death. Nearly two hours later, police were called to an apartment complex for a welfare check on a resident there and found a woman dead inside one of the complex’s buildings. Police said she was shot several times. Police have not released the victims’ names or any details about possible suspects.
