Monday Governor Mike Parson visited with administration from both Northwest Missouri State and Missouri Western State during a roundtable discussion at the Maryville campus to discuss how both universities are dealing with the pandemic.
Parson says funding for higher education will be challenging during the pandemic. He says workforce development is key.
The roundtable included Northwest President John Jasinski and Missouri Western Interim President Elizabeth Kennedy.
Good to meet with leaders from @NWMOSTATE and @MissouriWestern to learn about their university reopening plans. Impressed with the plans they are putting in place to safeguard onsite safety for students, teachers, and staff as well as to improve their online learning options. pic.twitter.com/0jxO2nrc8P
