KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The MIAA announced its schedules for the 2020 men’s and women’s basketball season. All 2020-2021 schedules were approved by the Association’s CEO Council on Monday, June 15, and the Institutional Representative Council (IRC) on Tuesday, June 9.
In response to the NCAA requirements in maximum allowable contests for the 2020 men’s and women’s basketball season, the MIAA Scheduling Subcommittee modified the existing schedules. This year’s schedules consists of 22 games in conference play as each member institution has 11 home games and 11 away games. Each sport can adjust dates if desired through a conference office approval process.
The first game is scheduled for November 19 with the MIAA Basketball Championships slated for March 4-7 at Kansas City’s historic Municipal Auditorium. The 2021 Basketball Championships will consist of an eight-team brackets in both sports due to cost-savings measures from the COVID-19 Global Health Pandemic.

The Association will wrap-up its schedule announcement series on Friday, June 19 at 2 p.m. with baseball, softball, and tennis schedules. The MIAA Scheduling Subcommittee is comprised of an athletic administrator at each member institution.
