All 555 Public And Charter Schools In Missouri Are Closed Due To COVID-19

As of Thursday, all public and charter schools in Missouri are closed in response to the growing concern over the spread of coronavirus.

There are 555 school districts and charter schools statewide. In a tweet, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education uploaded a map showing that every school had closed, impacting a grand total of 914,875 students.

Additionally, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education reported Thursday that Missouri will be canceling statewide required assessments for the school year.

Governor Mike Parson said officials remain in close communication to be informed about COVID-19 and the current situation in Missouri.
