Bearcats Shoot 318 On Final Day Of Midwest Fall Classic

The Northwest Missouri State University women’s golf made a move in the right direction on Tuesday in the final round of the Midwest Fall Classic at the Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg.

The Bearcats improved their first-round score by 14 shots with a 318 on Tuesday finishing with a total of 650 for the tournament.

Morgan Thiele once again led the Bearcats in scoring shooting twin 76’s for the tournament. Thiele arrived at her total with nine-hole splits of 39 and 37 also including one birdie on the round. The two day total of 152 finished Thiele in a tie for 17th. Bekah Donner and Anna Zech both shot 80 for Northwest and also had the same front and back nine scores with a 44 and 36.

Spencer Roach and Mady Acers improved their round one scores by 12 and 15 shots respectively. Roach shot an 82 and Acers was right behind Roach with a score of 83. Lauren Wood was also in action at the tournament for Northwest posting a two day total of 182.

The Bearcat golfers will be in action next Monday when they wrap up their fall season schedule as they host the Bearcat Golf Invite at the Mozingo Lake Golf Course.
