Bearcat Men’s Cross Country Team Climbs In National Poll

The Northwest Missouri State University men’s cross country team surged up five spots to No. 14 in this week’s United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll.

It is the highest in-season ranking in the program’s history. Northwest moved up with a second-place finish at the Missouri Southern Stampede. Missouri Southern captured the team title with 55 points and Northwest took second place with 70 points. Northwest had three runners in the top 10, including Jhordan Ccope (3rd), Augostine Lisoreng (6th) and Karim Achengli (8th).

For the second consecutive week Northwest is ranked No. 4 in the USTFCCCA Central Region rankings.

The Bearcat men and women will travel this Saturday and compete in the Griffon Open in St. Joseph, Missouri.
