Flood Recovery Resources For North Missouri – Congressman Sam Graves

July 11, 2019
Dear Friend,

The Flood of 2019 has impacted almost everyone in North Missouri—even those whose homes, farmland, and businesses were spared have friends, neighbors, and family who were far less fortunate. Some places along the Missouri River have been underwater going on 4 months now, we have seen record floods along the Mississippi River, and a lot of folks in between have seen flooding as well—particularly on the Grand and Chariton rivers.

There is some good news though. President Trump recently signed a disaster aid package I was proud to support. In addition, the President just approved a second major disaster declaration for several North Missouri counties—making more federal resources available to help folks recover and rebuild.

We all know it can be difficult to make heads or tails of federal programs even at the best of times. Missourians have been through enough this year—finding out what programs are available shouldn’t be a hassle. That’s why I’ve created a Flood Recovery Resource Guide to help anyone looking for more information on federal flood recovery programs.

You can find the guide at graves.house.gov/floodresources. It contains information on the federal programs that are available, links to the individual agencies and programs, how to apply and contact info for those agencies to begin the application process.

If you would like a paper copy of the Flood Recovery Resource Guide, you can request one from any of my district offices.

You will also be able to find much of this info on my Facebook page at facebook.com/RepSamGraves. I would encourage you to follow me there for the most up to date information on recovery efforts, disaster declaration news, and efforts to limit future floods.

We’ve got a long road ahead of us. My hope is that this guide is helpful for those trying to begin the recovery and rebuilding process. Missourians are resilient, and we will get through this together.
