Open House Tuesday For Public Input On Repair Of 4 Bridges Near Maryville

Plans are underway to replace four bridges on Route 46 west of Maryville: Big Slu Bridge, Florida Creek Bridge, Stream Bridge, and White Cloud Creek Bridge. The Missouri Department of Transportation will host an open-house style public information event on Tuesday, July 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the NW Missouri Regional Airport Terminal Building, located at 25775 Hawk Road in Maryville.

This will be an open house with no formal presentation. Designers and engineers from the Missouri Department of Transportation and their consultants will be on hand to discuss construction plans for the bridges, potential detour routes and to hear your comments and concerns about the planned projects.

The public is invited to drop in any time between 4 and 6 p.m. and is encouraged to offer comments and ask questions. Participants will also have the opportunity to document their comments and sign up to be included on project-specific updates via email. The projects are currently schedule to go out for bid to contractors in December 2019.

If you are unable to attend the open house, a website with information about the projects is available at https://www.modot.org/route-46-bridge-projects-west-maryville.
