17 year old Kameron T Wallace of Stanberry was killed Wednesday when the tractor he was driving was struck by a dump truck driven by 26 year old Jacobi R Zimmerman of Maryville. Wallace was towing a hay mower/conditioner eastbound on Route O, 4 miles west of Gentry when Zimmerman attempted to overtake Wallace at the same time Wallace moved to the center of the roadway to prevent his towed unit from going into a culvert. Zimmerman struck Wallace in the rear, causing him to overturn. Wallace was pronounced dead at the scene by Gentry County Coroner Andrew Lindner. Zimmerman was taken to Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville.

Visitation Friday June 7th from 6:00-9:00 at First Baptist Church in Stanberry. Friends may call after 4:30. Services at the Stanberry football field at 10:30 Saturday June 8th (weather permitting; if not then at the church). Burial to follow at Enyart Cemetary in Gentry.
