Reports: Cardinals Agree On Extension With Goldschmidt

St. Louis — According to multiple reports, St. Louis and Paul Goldschmidt have agreed on a contract extension.

Goldschmidt will receive around $130 million over five years, keeping him a member of the Cardinals through 2024. The 31-year-old first baseman was traded to the Cardinals in the offseason after eight years with Arizona.

Goldschmidt has made six straight All-Star games and hit at least 30 home runs in four of the last six seasons.
