Nodaway County Prosecutor To Unveil Coloring Book For Kids

Wednesday of next week Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice will announce the release of a guide and coloring activity book for children titled “Going to Court in Nodaway County.”  The coloring and activity book is a guide for children who are victims or witnesses to crime and have to testify or participate in the criminal justice system.

The guide and coloring activity book was created in a collaboration with Sarah E. Creason, an instructor at Northwest Missouri State University, and Brian Dunn II, a student at Northwest Missouri State University.

The purpose of the book is to explain the court process using age-appropriate language and play-therapy activities. The inspiration of the book came from Catherine Vannier, Family Violence Resource Prosecutor with the Missouri Office of Prosecution Services, and a coloring book she distributed from a national organization.
