Tuesday the Nodaway County Commission heard conversation on a 3rd wind farm in the county. The proposed launch will be in 2020 by Tenaska Corporation based in Omaha. Total cost is estimated between $200 and $300 million and upon completion, Tenaska would contribute $1.2 million a year in property taxes, with the North Nodaway, West Nodaway and Maryville School Districts being beneficiaries. 68% of Tenaska’s taxes will go to schools.
