Native Iowan Named Acting U-S Attorney General Wednesday

A native Iowan was named acting Attorney General Wednesday by President Donald Trump.  Matt Whitaker is from Ankeny, Iowa (Des Moines suburb) and is a former U-S District Attorney.  His appointment came after Attorney General Jeff Sessions submitted his requested letter of resignation to the President, also Wednesday.  Whitaker played football at Iowa in the early 90s under Hayden Fry and was a member of the 1991 Rose Bowl team.
