Two Teens Charged With Stealing Firearms In Andrew County

Andrew County has charged Dalton Barber, 17, and Jacob Griggs, 18, with three counts of stealing a firearm, one count of tampering property of another and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

The two teens were caught on camera breaking into vehicles at Indian Ridge Estates in a small, white car.

Savannah Police later spotted and pursued Barber and Griggs. The chase went through St. Joseph with speeds reaching 104 mph on the Belt Highway before the police called off the chase.

St. Joseph Police later found the vehicle on Safari Drive with four semi-automatic handguns, a box of 9 mm ammunition and 41 grams of marijuana.

Both teens are being held at the Andrew County Jail. Griggs on a $20,00 bond and Barber on a $25,000 bond.
