–City Council approved to an ordinance to execute a contract with Index Restaurant Supply for the purchase of Restaurant Furniture, Fixture and Equipment items at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park. The amount is not to exceed $114,000 ($114,231.49).
–Approved an ordinance to execute a contract with Economic Modeling, LLC for a Benefit-Cost Analysis Regarding the South Main Street Corridor Improvement Project. The amount not to exceed $26,000.
— Council was presented information regarding the South Main Street Project Design. If the city is not awarded a 10 million dollar federal grant to fund all three phases, bidding for phase one would be near January 2019 with construction tentatively scheduled for spring or summer 2019. City Manager Greg McDanel reports staff is 90% complete with phase one planning, design and engineering.
