Maryville School Board Approves “Cum Laude” System For High School Graduates

During last night’s monthly Maryville School Board meeting, board approved a motion for the high school to go a “Cum Laude” system to recognize graduates.  Summa will be 4.02 and greater.  Magna 3.90 and Cum Laude 3.75.  The motion becomes effective next school year.   Maryville did not recognize valedictorians or saludatorians in the past, only the top 10 GPA ranked graduates.

The board also approved a preliminary fiscal year budget for the June 30th deadline that will become finalized during the August board meeting.
