During last night’s Maryville City Council meeting, Council approved to move forward with initiating a “use tax.” The use tax is used to collect taxes on online purchases within the City of Maryville. It must be formalized by the end of August to placed on the November ballot for a public vote. It’s estimated to generate between $225,000 and $500,000 annually.
