South Iowa Rural Water Association residents, including Taylor County, continue to be under a boil advisory that was issued last Thursday. SIRWA officials gathered Monday with other entities to talk of repairing the treatment plant. Monday the Hy-Vee in Bedford handed out 24 packs of free bottled water and/or gallon water jugs for those affected by the water outage. Parts are being waited on and officials hope to have one half of the process completed by Saturday. Then the flushing process can begin. For further updates you can visit sirwa.org.
