KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Kansas City police officials are reviewing the actions of two police officers who arrested a man after a dangerous car chase.
Video taken appears to show two officers hitting and kneeing the man while he was on the ground with his hands behind his back.
Police say Wednesday’s 30-minute chase began after the man carjacked a vehicle.
After speeding through neighborhoods, sometimes driving the wrong way and on sidewalks, the man drove into a park in northeast Kansas City and fled on foot.
He eventually fell down and stayed on the ground. One officer is shown hitting the man with his fist and knee. A second officer arrives and appears to knee the man again.
The man was taken away in an ambulance. Further details were not immediately available.
