High Speed Chase Ends Near Hamburg Wednesday Morning

Two Bellevue, Nebraska residents who sent law enforcement on a high speed chase that began in Bellevue and ended near Hamburg, Iowa Wednesday morning are being held on one million dollars bond.  28 year old William Stanfill and 37 year old Jacqueline Streich have each been charged with 2 counts of attempted murder on a peace officer, 3 felonies and numerous traffic violations. Speeds reached 100 MPH in downtown Tabor, Iowa and 125 MPH before the two crashed into the Nishnabotna River near Hamburg. An Iowa State Patrol Trooper sustained injuries while in pursuit and was airlifted to Nebraska Medicine in Omaha with serious, but non life threatening injuries.
