After several delays, a resurfacing project on Route 113 in Holt and Nodaway counties gets underway this week. Crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, milled some transition areas last week. They will begin the asphalt overlay on Monday, April 23, weather permitting, and hope to have all work complete by mid to late May.
This project extends from U.S. Route 136 in Burlington Junction south to U.S. Route 59 will resurface more than 25 miles of roadway. The contractor will work from the northern end of the project at U.S. Route 136 in Burlington Junction and progress south. For the majority of the project, they plan to resurface the roadway one lane at a time in two-mile sections. They will direct traffic around the work with flaggers and pilot car.
