Area Students Receive Awards At Missouri FFA Convention

Maryville’s Dustin Conover received the second place Missouri FFA Fiber and/or Oil Crop Production Proficiency Award at the 90th Missouri FFA Convention in Columbia last week.  Conover is a senior at Maryville High School.

Also at the Missouri State FFA Convention last week in Columbia, Brooklyn Bennett of South Nodaway (pictured with Missouri State Ag Director Chris Chinn) was selected to participate in the agribusiness academy this summer that is sponsored by the Missouri Department of Agriculture.

South Holt junior Kassidy Miller won the Nursery Operations Proficiency Award

King City senior Madelyn Dirks was named the FFA State Vice-President.  She won the FFA Diversified Livestock Production Proficiency Award and was also named an Area 1 Star Farmer.

 

In addition, senior Taylor Combs of North Nodaway received a State FFA Degree.
