During his weekly radio address, State Senator Dan Hegeman of Cosby spoke on Senate Bill 590, legislation seeking to modify Missouri’s Historic Preservation Tax Code. The measure has been given Missouri Senate approval and is now in the House of Representatives.
Hegeman says that is approximately 2 ½ times larger than the next state of Ohio at 60 million dollars a year that allocates for historic structures.
He notes this money could be used for the Senior Citizens Services Fund.
Hegeman says there needs to be a discussion of what is the more important route to go to use these funds.
