–City Council approved an Ordinance Approving the Plan for an Industrial Development Project for Kawasaki Motors of Maryville to facilitate a $26 million dollar project through Industrial Revenue Bonds. The price includes a $7 million dollar expansion and $18 million for new equipment. It’s expected to create 30 new jobs and create $1 million in new tax revenue over 10 years.

–Approved a contract with Ray Lindsey Company for the purchase of UV bulbs for the Maryville Wastewater Treatment Plant. The amount is not to exceed $34,700. FY18 budget includes $35,000 for this purchase.
–City Manager Greg McDanel reports the FY18 Budget includes $1.25 million for an asphalt mill and overlay project this spring. Staff is working on a list of streets and alternates for consideration through a Request for Proposals. Decision expected during the next City Council meeting on February 26th.
