JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Dan Hegeman, R-Cosby, offers his congratulations to two new gubernatorial appointees from the 12th Senatorial District: Janay Orange and Kevin Rosenbohm. Last week, the Missouri Senate voted to confirm Orange as a student representative to the Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents, while Rosenbohm was confirmed as a Republican member of the Air Conservation Commission.
Senator Dan Hegeman meets with Janay Orange during her nomination hearing before the Senate Committee on Gubernatorial Appointments Wednesday, Jan. 31.

The Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents is the main governing body of the 12th Senatorial District’s largest university, of which the student representative is a non-voting member. The Air Conservation Commission works under the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to administer the Missouri Air Conservation Law, which was passed by the General Assembly in 1965.
Orange and Rosenbohm traveled to the State Capitol Wednesday, Jan. 31, for their nomination hearing before the Senate Committee on Gubernatorial Appointments. The committee voted to advance their nominations, and, later that day, the Missouri Senate officially confirmed them to their respective positions.
“Missouri needs responsible civil servants to keep our public institutions running smoothly, and that’s especially true when it comes to our state boards and commissions,” Sen. Hegeman said. “I am assured Orange and Rosenbohm, fine citizens of the 12th Senatorial District, will serve our state with dignity and respect.”
