Slick and snow covered roads caused multiple semis and vehicles to pile up on I-44 eastbound Sunday near Rolla. The accidents happened near mile marker 110.
Many roads throughout the state remain snow-covered as of last night, and the Missouri Department of Transportation advised drivers to use extreme care if they had to travel. In addition, refreezing could cause the potential for patches of black ice, and bitter cold temperatures are slowing clean up.
Multiple crashes hindered travel on Interstate 44 in southwest and south central Missouri.
