Maryville City Council Notes From Monday

–Approved an ordinance to authorize the issuance, sale and delivery of General Obligation Refunding Bonds, which will save the city more than 3%.  This amounts to nearly $200,000 over the life of the bonds.  Final payment due March 1st, 2029.

–Approved a resolution of Intent for the Issuance of the City’s Revenue Bonds to Finance and Refinance the costs of a project for Kawasaki Motors in Maryville.  The amount is not to exceed $25.5 million dollars.  The move is expected to create 30 jobs.

–Approved an ordinance to execute Change Order #3 with Ideker, INC. for the runway 14/32 Rehabilitation Project at Northwest Missouri Regional Airport.  The change order will decrease the price of the contract by over $27,000 ($27,376.45…final price of $2,988,981,65) and the final price just under $3 million dollars.

–City Manager Greg McDanel reports on January 10th an inoperable radio repeater was removed from the roof of City Hall at cost of $3,800.  FY18 Budget allows $10,000 for repair and maintenance projects for City Hall.

–Total cost of public works snow removal for the first three events so far in 2018 has totaled nearly $11,000 ($10,986.81).

–Missouri Department of Conservation is holding a free ice fishing workshop this Saturday from 9:00-1:00 at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park.  Pre-registration is requested by calling 816-271-3100.
