Northwest AD Mel Tjeerdsma Named To College Football Hall Of Fame

Northwest Missouri State Athletic Director Mel Tjeerdsma was named Monday to the 2018 Class for the College Football Hall of Fame.  Tjeerdsma is one of 13 members that include 3 coaches and 10 players.  He coached football at Northwest from 1994-2010 and amassed 183 wins over 17 seasons.  Tjeerdsma has been the Bearcats AD since 2013.  He won National Titles in 1998, 1999 and 2009 and also claimed a total of 12 MIAA Championships.    The 2018 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be officially inducted at the 61st NFF Annual Awards Dinner on Dec. 4, 2018, at the New York Hilton Midtown.
