State Senator Requests Investigation Of Possible Illegal Records Distruction By Governor Greitens

State Senator Scott Sifton (D-Affton) Friday sent a letter to Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley requesting an investigation of possible illegal records destruction by Gov. Greitens and his staff.

The letter follows a media report revealing that Gov. Greitens, using an alias, is communicating with staff through Confide, an application specifically designed to delete each text message after it is read, preventing recordation and retention. Missouri’s Sunshine Law and Records Law prohibit the destruction of certain documents and communications related to state business.
