Pair Of Hawkeyes Named Football/Basketball Players Of The Week

Iowa’s Josh Jackson was named the Big Ten’s Co-Defensive Player of the Week for a 2nd straight week.  Jackson had 2 interceptions for touchdowns that accounted for the only points in the Hawkeyes 38-14 loss at Wisconsin.  He has 5 interceptions in the last two games.

Iowa’s Luka Garza was named Monday as the Big Ten’s Freshman of the Week.  The 6-11 forward from Washington, D-C averaged 13.5 points, 9 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in the Hawkeyes opening wins over Chicago State and Alabama State.
