–Approved the purchase of land from the Maryville R-II School District on the northeast corner of East 1st Street and North Vine Streets. The agreed amount is $157,500. The land will be used to construct a new Maryville Public Safety facility. The total size of property is 1.8 acres.
–Approved to execute a contract with Red Municipal & Industrial Equipment Company for the purchase of a Vaccon Combination Sewer Maintenance Machine in an amount not to exceed $371,192.89. FY18 budget includes $380,000 for the purchase.
–Approved a Planned Unit Development to build an 8-plex on a lot located at 422 North Fillmore. The development plan includes eight, one bedroom units and 10 spaces of off street parking. It will be located in an R-4, Multi-Family Zone and is in the campus overlay district.
–Approved to execute a contract with JD Bishop Construction, LLC for concrete at the Conference Ccenter at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park. The amount is not to exceed $30,000.
–Approved to execute change order #1 with Northwest Audio Visual for the purchase and installation of audio visual equipment for the Conference Center at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park. The original amount of $21,000 ($21,471) has been increased to $76,000 ($76,163). FY18 budgets a total of $76,000.
–Approved to execute change order #1 with DS Painting, LLC for Flooring and Painting services at the Conference Center at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park. The original amount of $54,000 ($54,442) has been increased to $120,000 ($119,792). FY18 budgets for $136,000.
–Approved to support the Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments with a membership fee of $4,200 for the fiscal year 18 budget. This is based upon a fee of .35 cents per person with a population in Maryville of just under 12,000.
–Approved the purchase of a 2008 Dodge Ram Quad Cab Truck from Championship Motors in an amount not to exceed $13,500. The vehicle will be used for support of the Cemetary Maintenance Division and transporting Maryville Treatment Center work release employees.
–Approved to execute a contract with Murphy Tractor & Equipment Company for Lease of a 2017 John Deere Loader. The 36 month lease will provide 750 hours to use each year in the amount of $25,027.68.
–Approved to execute a contract with VLP Holding Company, INC for the lease of a Mini Excavator. The 36 month lease will cost $21,350.16 annually. The mini excavator is deemed a critical piece of equipment for routine maintenance and emergencies.
–Approved to execute an engineering contract with Snyder & Associates to provide professional engineering services for the East Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project. The amount is not to exceed $49,500.
