Two Former Clarinda Schools Employees Improperly Used Money To Pay For Personal Expenses

Further information revealed from a state auditor’s report of improper transactions regarding bank accounts of the Clarinda School District reveals that two former district coaches improperly controlled student activity accounts to pay for personal expenses.  Former activites director and volleyball coach Brian Wedemeyer used money to purchase a heater for his home swimming pool and former football coach Mark Schlib used money for family ski trips in 2013 and 2014.  The state auditor’s report was for transactions from January 1st, 2015 to May of this year.  The Clarinda School Board begins 6 closed sessions today related to personnel regarding this audit report.
