This past Saturday morning, Clarinda officers arrested 25 year old James Robert Castillo of Bedford, for possession with intent to deliver more than five grams of methamphetamine, failure to affix a drug tax stamp and serious misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine. Also arrested was 52 year old Tina Marie Benkowich of Clarinda, for possession of drug paraphernalia. Both Castillo and Benkowich were arrested pursuant to a traffic stop and deployment of K-9 Raiko, which led to the discovery of the drugs. Castillo is being held in the Page County Jail on $100,000 bond. Benkowich posted $300 bond and has been released.
