Federal Judge Denies Request To Dismiss Lawsuit After Maryville Teen Is Tazed

A federal judge has denied requests of five law enforcement officers named as defendants to dismiss charges against them after a Maryville autistic teen was tazed multiple times last year.  The parents of then 18 year old Christopher Kramer filed the lawsuit in January.  The lawsuit claims a state trooper and Maryville Public Safety officers violated Kramer’s constitutional rights after he stopped to tie his shoe in the lawn of the state trooper and then ran off after he was called upon to stop.  This led to a foot chase by officers that ended with Kramer being tazed.
