Additional Details Of Ravenwood Man’s Charge In Fatal April Crash Revealed

Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice provided a few more details Thursday regarding the first degree involuntary manslaughter charge filed against 71 year old Marlin F Meyer of Ravenwood for a fatal crash in Nodaway County that killed 60 year old Virginia C Burns of Parnell the morning of April 24th.   Rice says a Nodaway County Grand Jury decided to file the charge after evidence was collected in an investigation that lasted nearly three months.  Burns was on her way to work at Kawasaki the morning she was killed.

Bond was set at $10,000 with 10% cash allowed so Meyer posted $1,000 and was released.  His preliminary court date will be the morning of September 11th.  If convicted, Meyer faces between 3 and 10 years in prison.
