Maryville City Council
–City Council approved restructuring the 2017 budget. $8,843,725 in funds were shifted to other departments. These are not new funds.
–Maryville Parks & Recreation Director Aaron Dobson presented the end of year fiscal 2017 budget that ended April 30th. Dobson reported $1,032,363 in revenues and $633,867 in current available funds. He also mentioned that the department still has to account for getting the Maryville Aquatic Center prepped for the summer.
–City Councilman Jerry Riggs updated his problem with having a Suddenlink cable line running unburied in his backyard. Riggs says there are now many flag markers in his yard in addition to the unburied line.
–Council approved to execute an ordinance with Visu-Sewer, INC for the 2017 Sewer Main Lining Project in an amount not to exceed $342,000 (342,707.75). The proposed project lines over 2.5 linear miles of sanitary sewer addressing numerous areas of concern identified on the smoke test report.
–All contracts have been executed with Keller Construction Company, INC for the 2017 Asphalt Mill & Overlay Project. Work is scheduled to begin on June 1st.
