Missouri Lottery Makes $28.3 Million Dollar Payment To Education Fund

Friday the Missouri Lottery transferred $28.3 million to the Lottery Proceeds Fund for public education.  The April transfer (of $28,348,126) is based on sales in March and brings the total for FY17 to more than $244 million.

Since Missouri Lottery sales started in 1986, the Lottery has generated more than $5.6 billion for the state and public education. Annual Lottery proceeds comprise about 4 percent of the state’s funding for public education – an effort shared by local, state and federal governments.
