Northwest Missouri State University has announced spring commencement will be Friday, April 28th, and Saturday, April 29th. Northwest expects nearly 900 students to receive degrees this spring. The University reports 233 students will receive master’s or specialist degrees through the University’s graduate school, and 661 undergraduate students are expected to receive bachelor’s degrees.
The commencement ceremonies begin at 7 p.m. Friday in Bearcat Arena when Northwest confers master’s and education specialist degrees and recognizes candidates for its doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis with the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Tiebing Shi, an assistant professor of marketing at Northwest, will address the Friday evening ceremony.

Karen Daniel, the chief financial officer for Black & Veatch and a 1980 Northwest alumna, will address both Saturday ceremonies.
