Iowa’s Peter Jok Wins College Basketball Three Point Shooting Contest

On his 23rd birthday, Iowa’s Peter Jok won last night’s college basketball three point shooting contest in Phoenix.  Jok defeated DeWayne Russell of Grand Canyon University in the finals by a score of 20 to 16.  Iowa State’s Naz Mitrou-Long was eliminated in the opening round.

Kindred Wesemann of K-State won the women’s competition over Sydney Wiese from Oregon State 18-17.  Wesemann beat Jok in a tiebreaker after both scored 16 in a head to head champions final.
