March 15th, Maryville middle school administrators received a report of a possible weapon on school grounds.
Immediately responding, investigating, and confiscating a CO2 BB gun before 7:45 a.m. There was no ammunition or CO2 cartridge present. In a press release from the school, the firearm did not appear to be in working condition.
The student involved will face disciplinary and legal consequences according to board policy and laws governing weapons on school property.
