Maryville City Council Notes From Monday

  • Hochchild, Bloom & Company, LLP presented a favorable 2016 audit for the city.  It included assets of 63 million, liabilities of 27 million for a net financial worth of 37.1 million dollars.

 

  • City Council approved by a 4-1 vote, a rezoning request by Brandon & Natasha Brand to make a lot in the 200 Block of N Walnut Street from an R-2 single family to an R-4 multi family space for the purpose of building a duplex.

 

  • Wal-Mart has provided Maryville Public Safety with a $2500 grant to purchase a drone for various search and rescue efforts.

 

  • The Conference Center at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park is scheduled for completion by January 1st of next year, but contractors are hopeful to push that to as early as November of this year.
