From The Office Of Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice:
30 year old Jerry Godsey of Parnell, was found guilty of driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender. Godsey was sentenced to enter and successfully complete the DWI Alternative Court program and suspended an execution of a 5-year-prison sentence. He was further ordered to 30 days in jail and 5 years of probation.
35 year old David Chase of Maryville violated the terms of his probation and was sentenced to 3 days in jail.
30 year old Timothy Clayton of Albany, was found guilty of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to 2 days in jail.
54 year old Wei Shi of Kansas City, was found guilty of prostitution. Shi received a permanent criminal conviction for prostitution and was ordered to pay fines totaling $870.50. Shi’s conviction is in connection to the closing of the “Sunny Massage” in Maryville in July of last year. Shi also had to surrender her state therapeutic massage license.
“The law enforcement community and I strongly supported this plea agreement which resulted in a permanent criminal conviction, but more importantly, permanently closed down the business where this activity occurred,” said Robert (Bob) L. Rice, Prosecuting Attorney for Nodaway County.
“I want to take a moment to thank Officer Adam James and Detective Ryan Glidden of the Maryville Department of Public Safety for their exemplary work in this investigation. Because of their hard work, our community is safer and a front for criminal activity has been eliminated,” Rice concluded.
