SSM Health St. Francis Hospital has announced the introduction of calcium scoring, a low-dose CT scan that can help identify risk for heart disease. The quick, painless screening does not require a doctor’s order, and results may be received the same day.
The new CT calcium scoring will give you helpful information about your risk for heart disease. It takes about 30 minutes and is painless.
The coronary artery calcium scoring charge is $50 and payment is required at the time of service. Health insurance does not normally cover the cost of this screening exam.
