During his weekly radio address State Senator Dan Hegeman of Cosby spoke on the State of the Judiciary. Hegeman says Chief Justice Patricia Breckenridge spoke to the general assembly to update the legislature on the state of the judicial branch of government.
Hegeman says Chief Justice Breckenridge talked about several things including the use of technology in court and stressed the need to keep current with pay for state employees. Missouri employees are paid among the lowest in the nation.
Hegeman says he wants to see more candidates apply for the positions of judge statewide for the governor to choose from, rather than a list of three names, under the current nonpartisan court plan.
