Thursday in Nodaway County Court 27 year old Nicholas Levi Bradshaw of Maryville was was sentenced to 7 years in prison after being found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for recklessly causing the death in 2014 of a 10-month-old baby from blunt force head trauma while Bradshaw was his caretaker.
Involuntary manslaughter is a class C felony and carries a range of punishment of up to 7 years in prison, up to a $5,000.00 fine, or any combination of the two penalties.
46 year old JoMarie Scott of Maitland was found guilty of 2 counts of possessing a controlled substance and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 5 years of probation, and a fine.
19 year old Peyton Weir of Ravenwood, was found guilty of possessing a controlled substance and driving while intoxicated and was sentenced to 30 days in jail & 5 years of probation.
31 year old David James of Clearmont, was found guilty of driving while revoked as a prior offender and was sentenced to 10 days in jail.
